Community Midwifery and Earth based Birth: A guide to Birthing in a low resource environment - is a 1.5 day experiential workshop. This workshop is designed for aspiring birth workers, parents, and interested community members - anyone interested in working with birth!
Participants can plan to walk away from class with hands-on skills practice on vitals & charting (blood pressure, pulse, respirations, skin, temp), practice drawing and giving injections, assessing bloodloss, using a doppler, catching a baby, herbs for the childbearing year, and more. We will define physiologic birth and the flow of labor, birth, and immediate postpartum and learn what is expected of any support role.
